What
an adventure we had on Monday! Our
field trip to the U of M was a soggy one, but full of fun and learning about
energy. It was an excellent review of what
we learned in the fall. There were explosions, fire, and even dancing. Unfortunately, it was pouring rain when we left the U of M, and we had to walk a few blocks to our bus. We managed to get soaked, some more than others. When
we returned to school, we changed into our dry, gym uniforms, and headed to lunch. The 5th graders didn't even complain! I was very impressed.
Math continues to be an adventure too as we tackle Algebra. I keep reminding the students that Algebra is difficult and it's ok if they're all at different places. Our goal is to expose the students to Algebra and for them to feel confident about their work. I am impressed with their mathematical thinking and learning!
