It was wonderful to see many of your at BTSN this week. I greatly appreciate the time you took to be here and to absorb all the information thrown your way! For those who could not make it, be sure to check out the BTSN presentation link in yesterday's blog post.

I am VERY excited about the year ahead. Part of the reason I love teaching is building and fostering relationships with my student's families. I deeply believe that open and candid communication between teacher and parent is an imperative part of the learning and growth process for children. Please keep me abreast of celebrations and concerns!

If you did not get a chance to fill out the yellow conference form, please email me your preferences this weekend. Conference scheduling is happening soon!

This Weeks High Lights!

  • Starting Regarding the Fountain...a fun book written in correspondences with mystery and intrigue!
  • Launching our Energy unit complete with a campus energy walk and collage project.
  • Diving deeper into big numbers, working on building strong estimation skills,  a solid understanding of place value and brushing up on 3 digit by 3 digit addition.
  • Discussing classroom agreements that everyone can commit to upholding, ensuring our classroom is a safe and fun place to be each day.
  • Finishing our "I am From" poems and viewing the amazing masks that accompany them. If you have not had a chance to check them both out in the hallways, please do, they are fantastic!
